Realigning my portfolio
May 29, 2007 | 1 Comment
I’ve taken the weekend to do a substantial bit of research, and although I’m by no means finished, I’ve come up with some new ideas. I’ve also taken a hard look at my current portfolio and realize that there is some room for rearranging, so this morning I’ve decided to pare a few holdings and free up some cash to bring in some new holdings. I’ve summarized my decisions below.
Sold GSCP at $2.75–I still believe this stock is […]

Further thoughts on GSCP

We’re back after a few technical problems yesterday. Yesterday was a pretty boring day for the market, so I will not bother to look backward too much. I purchased a large stake in HRBN at $13.20. Harbin is now my largest holding, and I believe it has the potential to be a big performer over the near to medium term. HRBN […]

Profiling GSCP.OB

Today I will profile Globescape, a distributor of secure FTP software based in San Antonio. I have been watching this stock for a few months, having been attracted to its strong revenue growth (+25% in 2005 and 2006) and positive earnings. The company has outstanding margins and a huge return on equity (53% according to Yahoo). The company was recently approved for AMEX listing, which could prove to be a catalyst for a price advance. It is up 8% today, […]
