Sold MO at $72.42

This morning I decided to sell my position in MO at $72.42. I still like the stock and still think the economy is going into recession, but I’ve decided to make some substantial bets in other places, and decided to use MO as a bank in order to facilitate the transaction. MO continues to work, and it will continue to work, but I’m going out on a limb to be more agressive here.

Bought MO at $72.22

I have repeatedly stated over the last few days that my views on both the economy and the market are slanting toward bearish, and for that reason, I have moved largely to a cash position. However, I am still on the lookout for opportunities on both the long and the short side, and today I decided to put a moderate chunk of money into MO at $72.22 as an attempt to play a bit of defense.
